Bring NED along when deciding your topic for research

Don't forget about N.E.D.!

Deciding a topic for research can be half the battle.  Without a clear topic and thesis you will be lost in the wilderness trying to get out from the maze of trees when you write your paper.  With a great topic and thesis, it's like having a GPS and instructions telling you where to go.  So ask yourself, do I have N.E.D.? Don't forget him!

N - Narrow. Is your topic narrow and specific?

E - Expository and Explainable. Does your topic offer opportunities to explain new information?

D - Defined and Deliberate.  Is your topic clear and a deliberate purpose (or point)?
